Dove is for people who really want to get to know each other. These guidelines exist so everyone feels safe and respected. They are part of the Terms of Use and apply to every member.
Be real
- Use your own name, your own recent photos and true information.
- Have one account. Don't open accounts for someone else or use another person's photos.
- Be honest about your age, your intentions and your relationship status.
Be respectful
- Be kind. "No" and "Not this time" are answers; don't push.
- Respect other people's boundaries. Don't send unwanted sexual content.
- Video calls only open if you both agree. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
- Keep your word: if you can't make a date, say so in advance.
Stay safe
- For a first date, pick a public place, arrange your own transport and tell someone you trust.
- Never send money, gift cards, crypto or investments to someone who asks, and report it right away.
- Don't share personal details (address, workplace, bank details) with someone you don't trust.
- In an emergency, call 112. The tools in the Safety Center are free.
Not allowed
- Use by anyone under 18.
- Fake identities, other people's photos, impersonation or bot accounts.
- Harassment, bullying, threats and pushing after a "no".
- Unwanted sexual content; nudity and explicit content.
- Hate speech: demeaning people for race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or any other trait.
- Violence, inciting violence or violating consent on a date.
- Asking for money, crypto, investments or gifts; scams.
- Commercial sex, escorting and any paid service offers.
- Advertising, spam or messages meant to pull members to other platforms.
- Sharing someone's private information or intimate images without permission.
- Repeatedly not showing up to dates without notice.
- Any illegal activity.
Child safety
Dove is only for people 18 and over. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
- We ask for a date of birth at sign-up; nobody under 18 can register and the date of birth cannot be changed later.
- Every member completes liveness verification; signs that someone may be a minor are flagged automatically and reviewed by a moderator as soon as possible.
- If there is a suspicion, the account is restricted immediately. If a violation is confirmed, the account is closed permanently and signing up again with the same device and phone is blocked.
- Cases are reported to the competent authorities as the law requires, and evidence is preserved.
- To report, use Report → Someone underage on a profile, in a chat or in a call.
Reporting and blocking
- Report and Block are always free on profiles, in chats, in calls and after a date.
- The person you report can no longer see you; your report stays confidential.
- If something happened outside the app, or you're not sure where to report it, choose the "Safety" topic under Me → Help → Write to us. In an emergency, call 112 first.
Enforcement and appeals
Depending on how serious a violation is, we warn, remove content, restrict an account temporarily or close it permanently. In serious cases an account can be restricted immediately during review. You can appeal any decision in the app; someone other than the person who made the first decision reviews your appeal.
